Houston is a very diverse city, and has a large international population. Courses in English as a Second Language are available for individuals or in groups. Here are some nearby options:
- The Pasadena Interactive College of Technology offers classes in writing, speaking, and reading English. These courses require tuition, but financial assistance is available.
- The Harris County Department of Education offers English as a Second Language classes online. These classes are free and take place on Tues/Weds/Thurs mornings OR evenings. There is an application to complete first.
- The Parker Williams Branch of the Harris County Public Library offers English conversation and tutoring sessions during the public school year. Go to the library and fill in an application so the staff will know when you're available.
